Minister of State Kaur visits Finland

Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur is visiting Finland on 10–12 June. Minister Kaur will discuss topical bilateral and international issues with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja.

The agenda includes the situations in Syria and Iran as well as cooperation in Arctic matters. India was granted observer status at the Arctic Council Ministerial Meeting held in Kiruna in May. Finland supported the granting of observer status to India.

During her visit, Minister Kaur will also meet with Minister of Finance Jutta Urpilainen, Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb and MP Pertti Salolainen, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament.
